The details: Permanent Full time - 80 Hours per fortnight - Rostered Monday to Sunday, available to work both shifts 0700-1530 hrs and 1200-2030 hrs
Salary details: $51,770 - $61,540

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As a health care assistant in START you will be working within a team of health professionals delivering rehabilitation to patients in the community. START is a programme which provides and promote rehabilitation of patients within their home environment primarily for over 65 year olds and Stroke patients of all age. START aims to reduce the pressure on hospital beds, through avoiding hospital admissions, earlier discharge, preventing readmissions and improving the quality of care for this group of patients. Although this position is based in Hamilton, our service covers the rural towns within the Te Whatu Ora area. Travelling is therefore part of this position. The vehicle is supplied. We require a dynamic health care assistant with a passion for rehabilitation in the community setting to join our team.

experience working in the community setting preferably with the older person

*
assist with rehabilitation activities within the patient's own home

*
work within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals

*
provide care delegated by a registered nurse or allied health professional

*
commit to ongoing education and development

*
be a team player

*
hold a full NZ drivers licence
