Are you a retail enthusiast with a passion for teamwork and an eye for detail? Look no further - we have the perfect opportunity for you! The IHC Op Shop in Pukekohe is seeking an energetic Retail Assistant to collaborate with our dedicated volunteers and support our fantastic community.


Position: Retail Assistant

Location: IHC Op Shop, Pukekohe

Hours: Fixed-Term, Part-time, 12.5 hours per week

Schedule: Sundays (9:30am - 2:30pm) and Mondays (9:00am - 4:30pm)

(Kindly be aware that in October, you will need to work some extra hours due to a current staff member taking some leave)

  • Retail experience that makes you shine
  • A penchant for working with a dynamic and fun team
  • Calm demeanour and a fantastic sense of humour
  • Cash handling skills that are second to none
  • Keen eye for detail to keep things shipshape
  • Prior experience working with volunteers is a definite plus

Your Role:

Reporting to the IHC Op Shop Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the shop's exceptional standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the store is in tip-top shape
  • Keeping stock in excellent condition
  • Pricing items according to established guidelines
  • Creating enticing displays to showcase our treasures
  • Managing stock levels to meet customer demands
  • Accurate data recording on a daily basis
  • Maintaining precise financial records
