About the role: The role will involve assisting the Content team with creating and maintaining the metadata for our library of videos. The candidate will gain experience in working with a large database of videos, encompassing content from a large variety of top media producers. The video content ranges from news pieces, recipe videos, lifestyle content and entertainment/celebrity news and will give the successful candidate a complete view of the competitive world of online video.
About you: You have an interest in online video, a flair for descriptive writing and an interest in current affairs. The job will require you to be a self-motivator and meticulous attention to detail. In the role you will gain experience in metadata management, digital marketing, data entry, content writing, logistics and working in an exciting market in a rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities:
- Developing the metadata for a growing video library
- Creating tags and descriptions for videos in accordance with industry standards
- Working with a diverse selection of online video brand identities
- Assist with curating video playlists tailored to specific customer requirements
Skills:
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills (fluency in English required)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Media, Journalism or a related field
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and with an understanding of how to prioritise accordingly
- Experience creating and moderating content (text, videos etc) tailored to a specific audience preferred.
- Candidate must have a proven ability to work within a team, meet deadlines and show initiative
- Strong organizational and communication skills, proven ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results
- Experience with G-suite, Excel, Hubspot, SaaS mechanisms preferred but not essential
