Missions:
- The Platform Architect Manager plays a critical role in the success of a platform, ensuring that it is designed and built in a way that meets the needs of the business and its users.
- The Platform Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of the Xcelerator platform. He/She is responsible for creating a scalable and robust platform that supports the business's long-term growth goals.
- He/She worsk with the development team, stakeholders, and clients to understand requirements, identify solutions, and ensure that the platform is scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Responsibilities:
- Designing the technical architecture of the platform: The Platform Architect works closely with stakeholders and HC to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architecture designs.
- Ensuring the platform is scalable: The Platform Architect must ensure that the platform can handle increasing levels of traffic and usage without compromising performance or availability.
- Ensuring the platform is maintainable: The Platform Architect must design the platform with maintainability in mind, including easy deployment, upgrades, and bug fixes.
- Ensuring the platform is secure: The Platform Architect must design the platform with security in mind, including access control, encryption, and data protection and keep alignment with Cybersecurity team.
- Managing the development team: The Platform Architect may manage a team of developers (internal or external), providing technical guidance and ensuring that the team is working towards the overall architecture and design goals.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices: The Platform Architect must stay current with new technologies and best practices in order to make informed decisions about the platform's technical architecture and design.
Qualifications:
- Experience architecting, designing, and developing complex, mission critical, configurable, scalable enterprise software products.
- A strong background in systems level thinking and design. Combined with the ability to translate technical strategy and architectures into concrete, practical designs, with the right tradeoffs and phasing.
- Knowledge of relevant technologies, including Java, messaging, relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, Hadoop, analytics, IoT, and RESTful interfaces.
- Understanding of the architectural principles for cloud based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, infrastructure as code, and continuous availability.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present and discuss technical strategies, architectures and designs clearly and concisely.
- A strong history of collaborating effectively across large engineering teams.
- Over eight years of experience as a product manager, familiar with manufacturing products and solutions in production manufacturing business and processes, with knowledge of industrial software and hardware solutions such as OT/IT integration platforms.
- Proficient in using design tools essential for product managers, such as Axure RP, MindManager, Visio, to create prototypes, mind maps, flowcharts, etc. Can independently analyze and define product requirements, design product features and interactions, and deliver product prototypes.
