[서울] Manager, Procurement Transformation & Strategy [South Korea]

 

직무 개요:

This position is to lead all activities for NA to improve cost efficiency and processes with 3 major focus area such as Recycling Strategy, Optimization Projects, Procurement Transformation related initiatives of NA procurement besides business reporting. This position work closely with cross-functional teams within Asia and collaborate with Global procurement leaders. With enhanced focus on recycling within Novelis and global competition for scrap intensifying, the incumbent in this position shall play key role in developing market fact base and support buying team in finalizing strategies for cost-effective sourcing of various kinds of recycling inputs.

Key responsibilities under four major work areas as summarized as under:

• Procurement strategy:
  • Working closely with category leads (regional and global) to develop market trend analysis & SWOT analysis specific to NA.
  • Engage with all stakeholders working on sustainability related goals for NA and develop functional objectives and implementation strategies – with investment and without investment.
  • Work closely with value stream leaders towards rationalization of alloys and specifications to promote recycling friendly alloys and/or product portfolios.
  • Develop a comprehensive road map and execution plan for sourcing of low CO2 prime and Close-loop recycling management post Quantum.
  • Work with global and regional teams on establishing a fact-based approach to sourcing and completion analysis.

• Procurement Projects:
  • Working closely with all stakeholders to maximize cost savings and to minimize cost with achieving the goals for procurement.
  • Managing all procurement related projects such as contributing to sustainable goals

Such as Black dross treatment(Hades) is to apply new technology to make dross into 100% recyclable by-products, pre-processing line to clean bad quality of UBC and market analysis for new materials feeding to new segment such as UAL DC3 recycling.

• Strategy to mitigate impact and counter threat from Chinese investments in recycling
• Strong working initiative to improve procurement process as well.

• 
  Procurement Transformation :
  • Lead and support all activities for NA.
  • Track and implement best practices from other Novelis regions and/or Industry.
  • Work closely with Global Procurement transformation team in realizing full & timely benefits.
  • Global benchmarking on molten metal benefits

• 
  Analysis and business reporting :
  • Institutionalize a single source of truth for all procurement related data, information, insights within NA.
  • Work closely with FP&A group for Planning, Forecasting and Business Analysis related to procurement function.
  • Manage and analyze all procurement relevant data.
  • Presentations to regional and global leadership team

Key deliverables of the role in next 2-3 years are as below :

• Project Hades – working with Taihan Metal.
• UBC pre-processing line (investment, partner, cost-benefit)
• Can-to-Can recycling related projects and market interventions in collaboration with commercial team.
• Using Sejin’s 6xxx line under tolling arrangement to bring down costs.
• UBC testing line – claim for moisture & organics – process and administration.
• Countering Chinese threat in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam.
• Developing India and Middle east as an alternative source of RSI.
• Developing overall NA recycling strategy in alignment with Global recycling team.
• Optimization of feed-mix in alignment with YJ DC#3 and UAL DC#3.
• Supporting China team in working out RSI route for 6xxx Auto within China.
• Working with buyer’s group and plants on developing new recipe and sources for Non UBC inputs.
• Working with buyer’s group to develop and maintain market fact base and competitive analysis.

Non recycling related areas where this role contributes:

• Implementation of initiatives under Procurement Excellence (Coupa, SQRM, IT project) in Korea & China.
• Guiding cross-functional cost containment initiatives under Non-Metal categories.
• Working closely with FP&A group on business reporting and SPP development.
• Global benchmarking.
• Executive and leadership presentations.
• Supporting sustainability organization on initiatives related to procurement.
