Job Title: Machinist
Location: Odili Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of machining tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining processes and requirements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Inspect and measure finished products to verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure all work is completed within scheduled timelines without compromising on quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Machinist with a minimum of [8] years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in operating various machining tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Knowledge of different metals, materials, and cutting tools used in machining.
- Demonstrated skill in precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate product dimensions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to machining operations.
- Effective communication skills and a positive attitude towards problem-solving.
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification in Machining or relevant technical training is preferred.
Remuneration
N100,000 – N300,000 Monthly.
