We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Waiter/Waitress to join our well-established restaurant located in the heart of Dublin. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and welcome guests upon their arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Present menus to guests and provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and drink orders from guests, making note of any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of food items to tables.
- Assist in the preparation of the dining area, including setting up tables, arranging tableware, and ensuring a clean and organised environment.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and attentive manner.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
- Monitor tables and promptly attend to guests' needs throughout their dining experience.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
- Upsell menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and contribute to the restaurant's profitability.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in work areas, including clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and management to create a cohesive and positive work environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-volume restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
