What is the opportunity?

As a Reporting Actuary you will play a senior role in financial reporting, planning, analysis and pricing for New Ireland. The role provides an outstanding opportunity to develop people mentor skills, technical experience and to directly influence at a senior level.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Product and Pricing teams on actuarial issues relating to customer propositions, pricing and change initiatives.
  • Complete the calculation and analysis of New Ireland and Group Reporting on a quarterly basis.
  • Develop, build and maintain a strong business control environment
  • Play a leading role with the Finance team in producing the monthly management accounts, including providing insight and commentary on results
  • Support the actuarial input to the planning and analysis process including budgeting and forecasting, profitability and expenses.

What will make you stand out?

You have financial reporting experience including MCEV, IFRS and Solvency II and knowledge of the financial structure and operation of life and pensions products. Experience in implementing reporting change or in auditing independent validation of reporting change. You have a proven track record in delivery with a demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks. You hold strong teamwork skills Excellent communication and presentation skills

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;

  • Good IFRS17 experience advantageous
  • Track record of continuous improvement and process re-engineering
  • Strong Prophet modelling skills

Recently qualified Actuary or part qualified Actuary
