EU Transportation Specialist [Poland]


 

The Transportation Specialist reports functionally to the EDC Director. And is responsible mainly for the EU distribution network centralized in Poland, but also for any freight activities in the European territory – mainly Denmark.

An ideal candidate has experience in international transportation and knows how to process data for their own use in day-to-day operations or longer-term projects. We’re searching for an individual who will be coordinating our EU transportation network, which consists mainly of parcel traffic, mainly in areas of operations management, carrier management, and process improvement. And the individual who makes decisions based on data and business experience combined.


What you will do


  • Coordinating EU transportation network, based on our distribution center in Komorniki, Poland.
  • Managing carriers on local (PL) and international levels, both parcel and freight forwarders. Incl. business relations, performance, and cost reviews.
  • Performing daily tasks related to freight monitoring and customs clearance for distribution site in Komorniki.
  • Owning annual freight budget for Poland and follow-up on discrepancies by periodical reviews and actions.
  • Creating, leading, or supporting projects within freight optimization, or wider supplying chain area.


What you bring

This person must have excellent knowledge of transportation and strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. This person should have the ability to prioritize and have a sense of urgency for their work. They must be able to work independently to manage the complexity of the work and the various level of stakeholders, with which they interact with.

Experience

  • Having experience within a parcel environment and a wider knowledge of related supply chain processes may be preferred but not necessary (warehouse, purchasing, etc.).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation (KEP business, air transport, customs clearance).
  • Developed Excel skills
  • Proven results in delivering projects related to transportation network optimization (cost, performance, etc.)
  • Fluency in English and Polish is a must-have
