Chevron College is a QQI accredited education provider and delivers an extensive range of further and higher education programmes. Due to the commencement of our new ELC Level 5 & 6 and BA in Early Childhood Education and Care, we are now seeking to hire tutors for the delivery of QQI accredited Early Learning and Care level 5 & 6 Professional Practice Modules.
You will need to be available to travel to early childhood services to provide mentoring, supervision, and assessment of students. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Ireland’s leading employment skills provider.
Your new role:
- Delivering QQI Level 5/6 Early Learning and Care Practice module to a group of assigned learners
- Providing assistance to learners on a one-to-one basis when required
- Communicating with Programme leaders regarding the progress of the course
- Supervisory visit to students on placement (ELC Level 5 & Level 6)
- Evaluating and assessing of learners progress, assignments etc.
- Provide mentoring and supervision to learners and their placement setting.
- The evaluation and assessment of learners in their placement setting.
- Communicate learners progress to the placement lead and the programme leader.
- Liaise with the placement lead and the programme leader to ensure the integrity of the placement.
- Play an active role in the evaluation of professional practice placement.
What you will need to succeed:
A minimum QQI Level 8 in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
Experience working in an early childhood education and care service, with at least one year in a leadership role.
Child Protection/Safeguarding Training.
Train the Trainer qualification
Proactive approach to supporting and developing others.
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build key relationships
The role is subject to Garda Vetting
Full clean drivers’ licence is required
