As the Investment Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our client's investments in real estate companies, both in Germany and abroad.
As the Investment Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our client's investments in real estate companies, both in Germany and abroad.
Your key responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks:
- Proactively supporting transactions during the purchasing or selling phase and assisting in structuring.
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of local accounting for real estate investments, along with preparing reconciliations to Fund GAAP (LUX-GAAP, IFRS).
- Coordinating and managing both external and internal service providers, including accountants, legal advisors, tax advisors, and auditors.
- Monitoring the proper preparation and auditing of annual financial statements and tax returns, while also coordinating tax audits.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and overseeing the resolution process.
- Assisting in the smooth onboarding of newly acquired or planned structures.
What we're looking for in you:
- A successful completion of a business degree, preferably with a specialization in accounting, controlling, or auditing/taxes.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting, controlling, or auditing/tax consulting; prior industry experience is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and a natural affinity for working with numbers and balance sheets.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- High motivation, adeptness at handling pressure, and flexibility.
- Proficiency in using common MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- A very good command of written and spoken German, other languagues are nice to have
