Move forward as a shunting driver at DSV in Venlo
Trailers from A to B. As a shunting driver at DSV, you are an indispensable link in our chain. You have a high sense of responsibility, are punctual and are not satisfied until your work is done. Do you recognise yourself? Move foward as a shunt driver at DSV.
You get the job done
As a shunt driver, you will work in our workshop, where our mechanics carry out maintenance and damage repairs on our trailers. Because you work to a tight schedule, our mechanics can do what they are really good at. You are responsible for coupling, moving and uncoupling trailers on our premises as efficiently as possible. Using the terminal tractor, you move trailers in and out of our workshop, park them or bring them to our DSV Road location in Venlo. You also shuttle between our workshop and our customers' premises to pick up trailers. In short, you you're always on the move!
You get all this done by:
- Taking stock of the available trailers and drawing up a daily schedule;
- Correctly coupling and uncoupling trailers;
- Checking the shunting tractor. You check and replace oil, lights and tyres on time;
- You identify abnormalities or defects on trailers and report these to the workshop manager;
- Observing all rules and guidelines regarding housekeeping, quality, security and safety.
- Additional tasks when there is time to spare such as minor chores in and around the building and tidying up papers/tapes/equipment;
- You have a high regard for safety, keep neatly to speed and are always alert.

You have
- A valid certificate or CE driving licence;
- The necessary driving skills;
- You are stress-resistant and are not satisfied until the job is done.

You identify challenges or points of attention and deal with them immediately. Furthermore, it is of course important that you feel at home with us.
